Welcome to the world little sleeping beauty.

This beautiful sweet girl visited the studio for her newborn session last week. This dainty dot did so well during her session, even sharing a few beautiful smiles with my camera.

Her name is Latin in origin, so taking inspiration from the romantic country that is Italy it seemed only fitting to give this shoot a whimsical and dreamy feeling. The roses, the soft pinks made for a wonderfully girly session, fit for a princess!

As you know I love a bit of Disney inspo too! This mini sleeping beauty inspired me to create a pretty bed of roses just for her… cue the melodies from the film playing through my head and the beautiful words to this song came to mind….

….But if I know you
I know what you’ll do
You’ll love me at once
The way you did once upon a dream…..

Feelings that I’m sure her family must have felt the minute she arrived into the world.

When speaking to her Mummy about how she would like her newborn session to be she said she’d like lots of flowers. Of course we obliged and created her, her very own floral nest. A beautiful mix of spring magnolias and summer roses. Set off against dusty rose pink hues and sweet pea greens.

Her delicate little features made me melt, she had the most perfect little fingernails, and beautifully long eyelashes. I loved capturing all the details of her session. Like the quote below I hope she grows in grace and beauty, and I know she will be beloved by everyone she meets.

The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who know her.

Disney’s Sleeping Beauty

We’ve had a flurry of babies recently. Having my very own little February baby I know just how special some of the qualities and quirks are that they have when born in this month. I love this post from Motherly on why February babies are special little beings….

We managed to squeeze the visit of tiny baby S in to the studio just before our exciting move. It’s been such a wonderful end to our time at Ocean studio’s capturing this beautiful girly session.

I will miss my little studio terribly, all the lovely creatives, the team in the Bakehouse, and all at Rio. It’s light, it’s history, it’s textured and worn stone walls and stunning floorboards. But I’m super excited to start the next stage of my journey in a new and bigger studio not too far away on Hyde Park Road in Peverell.

Watch out for my upcoming blog post all about the new wonderful studio space.
