World meet beautiful baby D, she’s 14 days new, and ready to take on the world!!
I spent a lovely morning with this sweet little girl and her Mummy and Daddy, capturing her in all her newborn glory. It was lovely hearing all about their 4 year journey to create their little miracle daughter. Her Mummy said
“I wish more people would share their story about IVF, especially for those who are still on their journey”
Happy endings are precious things indeed, her Mummy added “I think sharing those stories offers others hope and the inspiration to carry on.”
Little D’s Mummy and Daddy had tried for four years to have a little miracle. With two losses it made this rainbow baby very special. I first met her parents at an event last year. You could see it in their faces that they had such excitement at becoming parents. Her Mummy just glowed, and her Daddy beamed from ear to ear as we discussed all the idea’s they had for their newborn session.
I was so thrilled to receive the message in January that all had gone well, and their precious daughter had arrived safely into the world. During her newborn session we chatted all about this little one’s birth, her Daddy said “it all happened so fast, we were both a little shocked at how fast it all happened,” Her Mummy said “there was no time for any pain relief, I did it all on gas and air” It seems as though little Miss was in as much of a rush as her parents to finally meet, and be the happy ending to their story.
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein
We designed her session around a colour pallet of warm mustard yellows, and cool greys. They not only matched with her parents home decor, but a beautiful blanket that was hand made for her by a family friend. We worked in whites and creams to keep the images neutral to match her whole families tastes, as Daddy want’s everyone to have pictures of his little miracle.
D was wide eyed and ever so curious at the start of her session drifting in and out of lite sleeps as we transitioned through each set up. When we got to the beanbag posing she fell into a deep sleep and I didn’t want to move her in the end she looked so comfortable.
I can’t wait to see them all again in a few weeks time to show them all their images.
“If you want a happy ending, that depends of course, on where you stop your story.”
We recommend having your newborn captured between the ages of 5 days – 14 days. During this time your newborn will be sleeping lots which will help me to capture beautifully sleepy images like the ones below. They also like to stay nice and curled up, just like they were inside of Mum’s tum. This will help when posing your little one. We also want mum and dad to have recovered some what before venturing out of the home for the first time with you new addition. You will also have other appointments to attend like Midwife checks, and registering your baby, all of which we are happy to schedule round.
The way we book in your newborn session is we secure your due date into our diary. This allows us to make sure we don’t overbook our newborns and allows for the maximum amount of flexibility should your little one want to arrive early or late. From your due date you will have priority booking with our studio. Meaning that once little one has arrived you have first pick of our next available dates. We will work with you to find the perfect time to have your photo’s taken around all the other important dates in those first few weeks.
So far we are booking well into the summer months of May and June, and I can’t wait to welcome all the spring newborns to the studio. You can secure your newborn session as soon as you’ve had your dating scan, or abnormality scan at 20 weeks. Which ever feels best for you. To book you can contact me here or go straight ahead and complete the online booking form which can be found here.
